I've been accepted to do a Masters in Filmmaking practice at Arts University Bournemouth. 20 years after being rejected for their undergraduate programme! This is an online, part-time 2 year course that will fit around my work and parenting commitments. The downside is that the Masters loan programme means that though the up front tuition is covered some of the amount paid to the uni is taken off my UC as 'income'. 30% of the Masters loan is treated as income but the tuition fee takes up something more like 80% so it feels unfair that I get penalised on my UC award for money that will go instantly to a university. Nonetheless today I'm feeling excited and optimistic.
