What changes are happening in your life and how are they impacting you?

Back to school nightmares - transport issues, the council in there informed decision making have decided to separate the children who receive free bus travel from the students that pay for their bus. This I feel is discrimination, my partner's daughter was distressed to hear this news as she starts year 11 as all her friends are on the paying bus, this is not right as far as I can see but the council say it is not discrimination as the paying bus is controlled by the school and not them. Also we are having to fight to change my partner son from bus to taxi as he has a EHCP, but is in dispute right now as we had to appeal. Now the bus provided for people on benefits will not take him as they say it's because it's in dispute and he is not on there load lists, so as you can see this is causing further distress on the family and he is on a phased return so is not completing full days for another week, so we have to collect him from school each day which is an hour round trip. The extra expense of all this is distressing to us as a family and we feel this should have all been sorted in the 6 weeks school holidays, not right at the beginning of school. It just shows the utter disregard and respect that our council has for children in their locality.
