I find doing a budget this time of year very difficult, because with having children you only want the best for them, I have to not only budget for my partners family but also for my children who live with my ex wife, so for this reason it can be difficult to get things right for all concerned with regard to Christmas gifts etc, the biggest struggle I also find this time of year is keeping on top of gas and electric bills due to having to put heating on more and the extra costs this causes. Planning for Christmas we as a family tend to use logbox to help by putting a little away each month to help with Christmas with regards the extra luxuries we all like at Christmas, so if it were not for that and also rewards we get from supermarkets etc things would be a lot bleaker than they are. The other issues come with regard to having the children off school and the extra costs with food etc to keep them all happy. Trying to budget this time of year is never easy and you tend to feel that you may end up letting people down for no apparent reason just trying to make your benefits stretch to pay for the every day bills and extras needed for Christmas.
