Vicky Powers

I'm a research student at The University of Sheffield and also work for a local authority. I live in Derbyshire with my husband and two step sons, we're quite outdoorsy and love camping and cycling, although it does mean I'm usually covered in mud and bruises.

I am excited to learn more about how a participatory research project works and to help people share their experiences in a way that brings changes that we desperately need. Our social security system is full of too many holes and sticking plasters, we need to listen to people who have experienced it in order to fix it.
